SECAI Scholarship – Call for Outstanding Master's Students in AI Is Open

SECAI is looking for outstanding students who plan to pursue a Master’s degree in an AI-related study program at TU Dresden or Leipzig University. Besides a fully funded scholarship, SECAI offers not only financial support but also targeted mentoring and networking opportunities with experts from industry and academia, creating ideal conditions for embarking on scientific and industrial careers. The main objective of SECAI is to support the next generation of AI talents by promoting excellent students, overcoming access barriers, and fostering the internationalization and diversification of SECAI study programs at TU Dresden and Leipzig University.

The study programs supported by SECAI reflect the interdisciplinarity in the field of AI that characterizes the initiative. In programs ranging from Computer Science, Nanoelectronic Systems, and Logical Modelling and Simulation to Bioinformatics and Master of Law, scholarship holders explore the many facets of AI and help shape the future of these fields as emerging talents. Promising students are integrated into SECAI research groups, both physically and organizationally, allowing a smooth transition into a PhD position.

The application period has already begun. Further details about the annual calls are available here. The general deadline for all applications is 30 June. However, a limited number of exceptional candidates may be selected earlier. Applying earlier is optional, but it increases the chance of early consideration. Women in STEM fields are particularly encouraged to apply. Special personal circumstances are taken into account, for example, when applicants are systematically disadvantaged or persecuted in their home countries, or are refugees of war.
