SECAI.Café Dresden: Industry Insight

On November 25, the next edition of SECAI.Café Dresden took place with the “Industry Insight” series. Thirty participants took the opportunity to learn about the integration of AI into the chip production process and its future development, using Infineon Technologies Dresden as an example. Our guest speaker Benedikt Läufer, Senior Specialist Yield & Product Engineering at Infineon Technologies Dresden, provided vivid insights into the company's processes.

The “Industry Insight” series at SECAI.Café Dresden enables SECAI scholarship holders and doctoral students to learn about the diversity of the industries, companies, fields of activity, and tasks in which they could work as trained AI talents after graduation. In the future, companies from various sectors will be presented. The format offers scholarship recipients an environment for lively and informal exchange between students, researchers, and industry representatives.

Infineon is one of the world's leading companies in the semiconductor industry. The Dresden manufacturing site was founded in 1994, at that time as part of Siemens. Today, Dresden is one of the most modern and largest sites for manufacturing, technology, and product development, employing more than 3,900 people at two locations. This makes Infineon Dresden one of the most important industrial employers in the region.

About SECAI Café

As part of the SECAI.Café accompanying program, SECAI locations regularly invite participants to get-togethers. They offer a collaborative environment and support networking within the school and beyond. The events each feature a short input (workshop, industry insight, career tip, soft skills training, cultural aspects, etc.) and then provide an opportunity for peer group exchange. The next SECAI.Café will take place on December 10, 2025.
